This is an alternative for bleach..BUT THERE ARE RULES.
1.WILL NOT WORK ON PREVIOUS COLORED HAIR
2.IF USE ON NATURAL LEVEL 2 HAIR TRUST ME IT WILL NOT LIGHTEN ALLLL THE WAY TO BLONDE BEST IS TO PRELIGHTEN
3.IF UR A DARK BLONDE IT WILL LIFT WITH A 30 OR 40 DEV..ALWAYS READ DIRECTIONS!!!!!
4.IF UR ALREADY BLONDE USE A 20 AND TIME IT CAREFULLY.
5.Color will depend on your desired shade and developer you choose to use!!
BE AWARE OF THE STRENGTH OF YOUR HAIR, YOU KNOW IS IT DAMAGED??? OR HEALTHY ENOUGH TO USE!!!!

OK so 12.1 is the lightest color basically in the hair color system..the swatch is very pretty best to check it out on the Sallys Website or in the store.
Ash blonde is a cool blonde no yellow or biege tones.
If you dont want to go this light stick with level 9

I used it on my roots with a 30 dev and left it in for 30 minutes..and i love it this is my first time using it..i saw the swatch looked for the box..saw it was the last one..so i grabbed it..this color actually works better than the Wella t18(which is a toner by the way)anywho this is a color..but in a way it acted like a toner, i had jus a little bit of a yellow tone in my roots and this HI LIFT BLONDE did its job.
